This is a 350m wide sandy beach which broadens out to the sea but is flanked by rocky headlands – Safe for swimming and surfing. No boats can be launched here and it would not be feasible to bring boats to far into the bay because of wave action. Popular coastal resort village feel with safe swimming and surfing beach above the Bay are rows of seaside houses & some forested slopes to the north and the Indian Ocean to the South East. The bay is lined with seaside holiday houses down the Eastern drive. The Western slope isrocky and wild. Concrete retaining wall creates a large raised tidal pool about 400m down the main drive to the Western Point.
